Sandusky, Ohio. Home to Cedar Point Amusement Park and possibly the Mecca of roller coaster enthusiasts. For many years now, Cedar Point has been on the cutting edge of amusement technology. In 1989, the Magnum XL-200 became the first roller coaster in the world to break 200 feet tall. In 2000, Cedar Point unleashed Millennium Force, which was the first coaster to break the 300-foot mark, and held the record for being the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world, for a brief period of time.
Of course, not all of Cedar Point's roller coasters are record breakers or trend-setters, but nearly all are fine examples of their specific genre of roller coasters. With a total of 14 roller coasters, Cedar Point lays claim to the most roller coasters in any one park in the world.
